Given the cost and unreliability of lighters in general, Bic lighters are looking better and better to me. Cheap and reliable.
Pipe smoking: the most cultivated taking of tobacco; a good friend and a sublime addiction; but give me a cigar, too. But so expensive: smoke up and smoke less.

I started out with a disposable lighter, then changed to a Zippo pipe-lighter, and have been a matches man for some time, now :)

Great lighters, easily obtained, and you have a wide choice of colors (if that's appealing to ya).

Ya, I'm a full-on Bic guy now.

I have a bunch of em laying around (along with pipe nails.)
No worries about losing em.
Plus you can bring em on a plane, when
you don't wanna risk an expensive lighter.

I have used all types of lighters in the past and I always keep some of the disposable one around, I especially like the ones that have the adjustable flame. I pop off the chrome thingy and change the position of the adjustable lever thereby getting a higher flame than the original setting which was good for cigerettes but less so on pipesl. it is a very simple maneuver!

I use both BICs and cheapie disposable lighters. Im sorry but Im not going to make and burn a candle all day just to light my smokes. I guess my taste buds just arent that acute.
