Which model hennessy hammock do you have? I've been looking at hammocks lately.....seems like it would beat setting up a tent ;)

The Expedition Asym ( don't buy this model if you're taller than 6ft. )

P.S. If you do get one Issac, I'll send you a link on how best to tie the knots. I found it a great help indeed :)

I was hoping this thread would jump back up.

Now that the weather is getting warmer here in Chicago, the cafes are bringing back out their street seating. This is now one of my favorite places to have a coffee and morning pipe (as long as I can get a seat "15ft" from the door).

With the weather turning cooler... I have been sitting on the deck watching these guys forage the pasture behind my lot...

Wow, some excellent pics & locations.

Having just started smoking a pipe this summer, I've been smoking on the patio, usually mid-late afternoon when the sun is still warm, with a glass of cider.... or while taking the dog for a walk over the fields..... or sitting outside a pavement cafe with a cup of coffee and people-watching.

Now the weather is getting cooler, it's not so much fun sitting outside, so I really need to get the shed sorted out as my man-cave/smoking-den.
Just because I don't care, doesn't mean I don't understand.

When at school, on the quad. Specifically on the walls flanking the main walkway. The walls stair step, so if you're lucky you can find one of the stepdowns to use as a backrest.

When at home, on my back deck. My dad built an overhang that provides a certain degree of shelter from the elements, and on nice days it is a lovely place to while away an hour or so.
Case in point, I took this photo not two hours ago.

Definitely at home where I can put my favorite music with my coffee and sometimes with a beer or a good booze.

Most times I enjoy a pipe on my front patio around the fire pit. This winter we will be building a 20 by 42 ft covered patio in the back yard which will be my new pipe haven. On occasion when I'm home alone I can have a pipe in the man cave pending no bleed over to the rest of the house;)

I'm new so I might be reviving several old threads, please excuse my attempt to fit in.

I'm lucky enough to smoke in the only leather recliner in our living room in front of the HD TV. My wife of 24 years grants this most wonderful pleasure because she is easily deceived by my sexual prowess. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

When the weather's fine, outside the Thatcher's Arms in Great Warley, Essex, on the third Saturday of the month, at the monthly meeting of the Pipe Club of London, enjoying the companionship of fellow puffers, with a pint of ale or a double Scotch on the table next to me.
I was on a boat once with four pipes, but nothing to light them with, so I threw one overboard, and the boat became a pipe lighter.

I realise this is an old thread that seems to have been revived repeatedly. I like threads of this sort.

My favourite spot is probably my couch. I have two main places for having a bowl or two; one is the couch, watching a film or listening to music and the other is here at the computer while working in the evenings.

Aside from that, my wife and I spend a fair bit of time in the hills on which our home borders. It's a ten minute drive up to a fantastic spot with great views and that's my third regular spot. This is also where we take our telescope when we want to do a bit of stargazing — an activity I normally augment with a bowl or two.
