I'm going to claim that de Broglie, Heisenberg, Dirac, Millikan, Fermi, Chadwick, Planck and Rutherford smoked pipes too (in secret)

And by coincidence, he's family to me, though not close family. I never met him though I met his wife (the blood lines to me) a few times at funerals. My parents knew him fairly well, and he'd call the hospital to see how my mother was doing, after which the nurses would start giving her extra attention. And no, I never met his daughter. I've never even seen any of her films.

Did/does Garret Morris smoke a pipe? He often had a straight pipe clenched in his mouth during SNL skits. Of course, many of these were for his portrayal of Anwar Sedat, but there are some skits where he doesn't 'need' the pipe but has it anyway.

I'm distantly related to Humphrey Bogart (hence the avatar), and share his mother's surname. I don't have any anecdotes about him, though. I once bid on a pipe that Bogie once owned but it got really expensive really fast.

I saw an old Chestfield cigarette ad with Ronald Reagan, with a blurb saying that he never really smoked except for the occasional pipe to "impress the girls." A quick look around brought these up:

I saw Lincoln last nite, his son, Tad was smoking a meerschaum. Tad was about 10-12 at the time.

Some say that it was less Tom smoking the pipe than it was the mustache.
