Morning all!
Whilst not wishing to be controversial I find myself wondering if there are any/many famous lady pipe-smokers?

:o
How very dare you! :x

Just kidding! ;) I can't fathom why this might be considered controversial :)
I think the answer is that there have been some famous, pipe smoking ladies, but not many. I feel this is a bit of a pity :|

Wasn't there a well-known lady US aide to one of the former Presidents who was a very public pipe smoker? And in the UK, much less well-known, a TV chef/presenter/former barrister who died recently was, in her younger days, a regular pipe smoker when she practised law.
The writer of the Bone People, Keri Hulme, is/was a pipe smoking lady.

I was on a boat once with four pipes, but nothing to light them with, so I threw one overboard, and the boat became a pipe lighter.
