SPAM, a Finer Thing?

Postby Bob » Fri Oct 03, 2014 6:24 pm

Since Eric fixed the spam problem on the forum we haven't seen any for quite some time. So, I thought it would be nice to revive some old memories. :P

Spam is very popular in Hawaii. I didn't know that until a friend of mine recently traveled there. Apparently, the GI's in WWII brought of lot of it in during the war and it became part of the culture.

If you want to be really irritated watch this 5 times in a row. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbCewkxL7SY

I love Spam, sliced and fried, in sandwiches. My wife absolutely despises it, something about having to eat it when she was little.

The seasoning is the trick, otherwise it could be pretty awful.

Any prior Military learned to love the stuff. I enjoy fried spam and eggs!

The reduced sodium SPAM is terrific. A few different ways I like it, but fried SPAM and eggs or with rice are my favorites.

Also really enjoy the canned hash if it's prepared with care.
