If Osama Bin Laden is dead, he is probably already being hailed as a martyr in some quarters. If that is the case, I'd argue that there isn't anything more likely to fuel the fires of war than his death.

kev, sometimes there are moments where you just gotta smoke that pipe and relax. if only for a day. something interesting definitely just happened, let's worry about the implications once they have a chance to settle in :)

Dude, what gives you the impression I'm not relaxed? I've just been out for half an hour's walk through the woods on my smoke break from work, smoked a bowl of Night Train (loving this stuff, by the way), and I've only got an hour left to go. Point of fact, I'm almost asleep! I'm just discussing the interesting stuff that you told us about. Personally, I think if more people had worried about implications before undertaking certain actions, much of this so-called war would never have occurred

Yeah sure, the economy will still suck tomorrow,
but tonight, I congratulate the President.
He gave the order, he gets the credit.
If it went wrong, he'd get the blame.

Lemme give him credit for doing something right.
After all, I might not get another chance.

Good news....however let's all now prepare for the backlash of terrorist activity!
That is one thing about the likes of the IRA/CIRA/PIRA/Al-Quaeda, they don't need the top dog in order to carry on

It's "interesting" that none of our Pakistani friends noticed
a building eight times bigger than anything else in the
neighborhood, where several Pakistani generals lived,
with eighteen foot walls topped with barbed wire.

This compound was about a mile and a half from
a Pakistani military school. I don't see how there
is any way that the ISI didn't know he was there.
It was very smart not to inform the Pakistanis
that this raid was planned or in progress.
