A first Hello & Greeting from Arizona, USA

Postby Goose55 » Sun Feb 21, 2016 3:06 am

I am delighted to find another excellent Pipe Smokers forum!

I am very new to pipe smoking. Have smoked a pipe before, but without enjoyment or much knowledge. So, I have a lot of questions about pipes, techniques, tobaccos, cleaning pipes, etc, etc.

OK, here I set sail into this forum as yet another extension of the pipe smoking adventure.

Welcome to T&P Walt.

Thank, you George, and all the others who have shared greetings

BTW, George, I like your quote/ signature. Do you know who wrote that?

Hi, Walt. I'm afraid, off the top of my head, I cannot remember where I got the quote. I'll have a google around and see if I can come up with something for you.

Walt, I managed to find the source of the quote.
It is from a poem called 'Gifts' by James Thompson, 1834-1882. My quote is the central of three stanzas.
Hope that is of help.

Thanks, Steve!

Forum members, I am sorry I was absent so long. I had some preoccupations, but now will be more active. I have been learning much about pipe smoking and pipe tobaccos. Maybe just enough to be dangerous.
