Have a small one that fits nicely in the coin pocket of a pair of Levies. In expensive but can take some use/abuse.

Yes, about opinels, just wondering whether they from carbon or stainless steel? I ask because there are examples where a few people deliberately make from stainless steel carbonating blade in boiled vinegar 10-15 min. (one of the ways of carbonizing knives).

right they are mine you see and two of the many i own

all are the carbon steel i didnt know when i was buying them that you could buy stainless versions. easy way to tell them apart is stainless are badged inox on the blade

not a big stainless fan they dont take the same edge and lets face it knofes are about cutting things..

i have a few knives for different things being an angler means i tend to always have a fixed blade around for wading bait cutting etc those are stainless and fishing branded ones to stay on the right side of the law here in britain, those opinels are illegal in a way being locking versions as is a little gerber multitool....

so i have a small opinel on a drain chain round my neck that doesnt have the locking device and hung with it is a cheap czech tool :D

Isaac, when I lived up in da U.P. of Michigan my friend had one of those Finnish knives. It wasn't a Spyderco. It was the real thing. Unfortunately the handle got burned up when he was shaving with it in the sauna and it slipped out of his hands into the hot sauna rocks. By the time we could get it out the handle was badly charred. The shots of Jack Daniels didn't help matters either. True story ... you can shave with it if you have the stuff to sharpen it properly.

I tried to post a picture of it but it said the file was to large, so, it is a Half/Half single knife blade with another blade that has a tamper on the end, very simple older all stainless pocket knife.

Don't try to attach pictures directly to your post. Use a service such as the one Eric recommended here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5112

Here is an imgur example. Hope this helps.

My knives. I decided to start collecting them last year.
I was on a boat once with four pipes, but nothing to light them with, so I threw one overboard, and the boat became a pipe lighter.

I've lost a lot of nice pocket knives over the years, usually hunting or fighting fires. I gave up and I've been carrying this for about 5 years. 9 bucks and no frills. Gutted my last deer with it and a lot of Walleye.
