Peterson black meer aboriginal

Hi guys, it turns out this is what I have amongst my dad's pipes. I had no idea until I sent a pic to a mate who knows his pipes.
Iv tried to post a pic here but it says it's too big and don't know any other way to do it.

You'll need to upload the photograph to an image-hosting site, then use the "img" button here when posting the link that site provides :)

Yes, that’s the way to go. Good advice, Kev. Good luck, rusty...

Photo bucket won't let me copy the link so I tried a pic size changing programme free online which turned it on its side.

That’s an unusual Peterson pipe, rusty. Not seen one like it before. Any idea as to its age?

My friend said early seventies , maybe 74 . He spoke to someone at peterson to get the date.
It's a hot bowl when smoking and gurgles with condor, but it's more a keepsake for me.

Glad you’ve been able to get some idea as to age. Peterson must have produced hundreds of thousands of pipes in their time. This seems a one-off to me or a limited edition range. I have just one Peterson gurgler (Harp, Apple); the rest seem fine. Their system pipes seem to be the best for me. Enjoy this one.

This is the normal straight drilled stem into the bowl, we checked and it doesn't have the peterson system.
But I'm still using it now and then, just a bit more carefully since realising what it actually is. :D
