Falcon misshape?

If its about the fine hobby of pipe smoking but not specific to one of the other forums post about it here.

Falcon misshape?

Postby Geo3rge » Fri Dec 29, 2017 9:01 am

I enjoy my Falcon pipes. Always have.
However, recent production models seem to be a bit different from the norm and the mouthpiece on a newish bent stem seems almost straight, so that when placed in the mouth, the balance of the whole pipe is out of kilter. It tips upwards.
My old model has a good curve to the mouthpiece, balancing out the whole design.
Anyone else noticed this change?
Also, it seems that contacting the manufacturer is rather difficult; it appears that no one can actually make that contact owing to, well, what? Administrative layers in the way? I’ve heard that Falcons are now produced by a corporate group who may possibly have the pipe simply as one of its products rather than as a specialist pipe business.

Anyone heard about this?

The new designs are aesthetically unpleasant so I’m sticking with the old one and if it breaks then I’ll be looking for secondhand ones to replace it.
Moi, fumer une pipe, naturellement...

This is what I found with a new falcon too, that's why iv gone with the internationals.
I have a dental straight but I'm not keen on the dental mouthpiece so my full bent had the normal one and I love it.
I'm rarely using my falcon lately.
