Thoroughly enjoyed a bowl of Squadron Leader earlier on, in a hand carved pipe (kit form)! Really taking to tobaccos now with Latakia in them and all of a sudden my tastebuds have latched onto it. Next pipe will be a bent Falcon with St. Bruno Flake.

D&R VIP in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Billiard bowl with a long Canadian stem, unbranded. A bottle of Mountain Dew made with pure cane sugar is my drink.

Good old St. Bruno Flake in a bent Falcon. Wet and windy here today. A touch gusty for a pipe outdoors, but we will see!

Brand new to me and absolutely delightful, Bothy Flake, by Samuel Gawith. Large, thick flake, deep, rich fruity and malty aroma, thick and creamy smoke. Wonderful stuff. Smoked in a Northern Briars Lovat, a large, thick-walled pipe just right for big flakes! A great smoke, in my shed because of the poor weather!

Another bowl of Bothy Flake, in the same pipe as above, a Northern Briar Lovat. Looking forward next month to the UK Pipe Show in Nottingham. Despite all the restrictions, it promises to be a good time.
