As for the decision to change the look of the pipe i explain it in the first link:

The pipe had some tiny marks from the other side plus the technician who make the bronze ring accidentally scratched and discoloured the shank. I think about it a lot, i had to sandpaper and re-coloured the pipe and that means a lot of time plus the stamp could be erased or disappear, that's why i took the decision to rustic her and thus make her unique.
If there were no marks or scratches at all the pipe would be left as it was.

No problem sir, ;) i understood what you said, me too i was thinking lot of time what i am going to do with this pipe.I liked the grain but those tiny marks from the other side plus the damage from the technician make me to take the decision.This pipe was modified some years ego isn't this year, since then i have improved my technique and i can cover or repair some things so there is no need for a rustication work. Rustic and sandblast many times isolate everything and i use them as a last solution.
