Where to buy a pipe stem

Postby cdgrph » Tue Dec 29, 2015 6:58 pm

I have a pipe without a stem and was wondering where to buy a new stem for it. I found one place that had them, but wanted to see if there are any other places I could look. I need a 5/16th" in diameter.

I know of a couple of folk here in the UK who could make a new stem for you, but I guess that it's much easier for you to choose someone in the ' States.
The ones here:

Ian Walker - www.northernbriars.co.uk

Mike Billington - http://www.blakemar.co.uk

Good luck with the search.

As a rule, pipe stems don't "just fit," they have to be fitted and that requires more skill and tools than I have. I've used http://walkerpiperepair.com/index.html in Michigan for various things and have always been quite satisfied with Mike's work.
