2013 PoY is still on - post here if you want one

I might be interested, depending on price--can I be PM'd? I'm back at tampandpuff now after a long time away, and would love to go in on this POY if the price is right, and if Les is going beyond the original 26.

Heck, call it a gesture toward healing/unity, and IMO a sharp-looking pipe that sounds like it's just my size. I'm glad to see that a firm hand was taken to reestablish the calm, laid-back atmosphere that's the T&P norm.

I was no. 1 on the reserve list but I am giving up my spot. Happy smoking for all you future Ferndown owners :)

As being one of the original 26 I'm still in thanks Eric. Just let us know in due course how and when you want to be paid.

After a few days away to move workshops it's taken quite a bit of reading to get to this point :D

In no way has all of this discouraged me from the pipe (although a black stem would be great :D )
It's still a POY from a great maker and marked as such for a great forum and it might go down in history as one of the greatest ever which makes it much more worthwhile to have. :D

Thanks to you for getting this back on track and also thanks to the moderators who were going to put up funds for the stamp.
I think though that a small increase in price for each pipe should cover this as its not the responsibility of the mods.

Oh and you know it's a really good forum when there's a bit of drama

I think I am now caught up with Friday's updates to the order queue. Please see the list in the original post on this thread. Please notify me of any corrections that need to be made.

Reminder on recent updates:

- Currently no limit on the number of people who can sign up for one pipe.
- Les is not offering customization options.

As of Friday, September 7th at 10:18 PM HST we are operating with the following description for the forum pipe.

The specifics of the T&P 2013 POY are as follows:
Straight Dublin
3* size (group 6)
Bark finish
10mm silver band
Cumberland stem
The pipe will be either stamped or engraved by Les with T&P 2013

The approximate dimensions of the T&P 2013 POY are as follows:
6.25"/157mm overall length
13/16"/20mm bore
1 3/4"/45mm chamber depth
70g weight

Thanks for the clarification Eric. ;)

In this case, I withdraw from the list. It is a bit too large a pipe for my personal tastes. I am sure it will be absolutely superb and I wish all other receipients the best of health to enjoy their new Treasure.

Sorry about that Rob - perfectly understandable. Let me know if you change your mind.

I'm sorry, I haven't yet received a PM with the price. I'd love to participate, but need to know how rich my blood needs to be. :D

Hey Hermit,

I know your probably going to keep to your decision but maybe Les would be willing to do one with a black stem. (ya never know)

Looks like that's not gonna happen.

Bit of a shame as the black stem made it a really classy dress pipe.

After reading and rereading one of the recent emails from Les, I have to wonder if he isn't under the impression that he's doing a black stem. The consensus seems to have been not to rock the boat with Les, go with whatever he has already agreed to. I know that the previous project coordinator had unilaterally chosen a cumberland stem and he was under the impression that is what would be on the pipe.

If it turns out Les was planning a black stem material I don't plan on asking him to change it unless I receive a lot of feedback - so far the majority of the thoughts I've seen on it favor the black stem material.

Black is a better choice as far as I'm concerned as well!

I agree with not rocking the boat and I'd be fine with a black stem. If I had the choice however, I'd go with cumberland. Either way though :D

I've re read Les's email, and doesn't he state a black MP? That's how I read his email anyway. Mp = Mouthpiece = stem?

Or have I read it wrong?

I've always been partial to black stems but I've seen Ferndowns with the bark finish and cumberland stem and it looks pretty slick. Either way is fine with me. :-)

Just re-read those myself. Yes, MP does stand for mouth piece...so it appears Les believes this pipe's stem is being ordered in black.

I'm good with that!

I'm thinking a hot pink one for Chuck, or maybe a rainbow one.
