I thought I read something on this forum about Kirsten Pipes going out of business, is this true?

I thought they did but their web site looks like you can order a pipe? When I was in Seattle a couple of months ago I called them to check it out for myself and the lady told me they were closed indefinitely.

I emailed them and got no reply. Mike posted a link to the people who are selling new old stock in the kirsten post.
I bought one off eBay. Tis alright but a Falcon is less hassle and stronger in design.
If you get one I'd be interested in your thoughts.

Cheers Rolf

I'm contemplating buying a metal pipe and thought I'd try a Kirsten, but with the "iffy" future of them it becomes a parts replacement/ new bowl purchase conundrum.

Guess I'll investigate the Falcon pipe further.

For what it is worth, I just got a shipment from Kirsten. Their web site is not up to date but you can call them and order from the number on the web site. I got mouthpieces, bowls, o rings etc. But they say they have the full range of pipes except the designer pipes.

Thanks for the update metalman.
I had called and talked to someone awhile back and they said they were just restarting production ,and call back in a few.
Time to make that call!

Yo Boo

Kirsten had a table at the big Chicago show, and I think they pretty much sold out the 50+ pipes they brought. They had an unusual process of offering a free test smoke with one of their demos. This produced the best bowl of EMP I've puffed in 50 years (pre-Murray, Murray, old Orlik, new Orlik, New York Dunhill store) and sold me on them. Another Morley's PC member liked mine so much he went and bought one too.
