Jim's Pipes From 2017 Chicago Show.

I got these at the Chicago Pipe Show. Three were gifts, and the Turkish Meershaum was especially made for me as a gift by Ismail Celebi. It's taken a long time, but I finally managed to get a pre-transition Barling pot in the model and price I could afford.

Top to bottom:
Pre-transition Barling EXEXEL pot.
1980s Big Ben pot.
Late '70s Charatan "Special" pot.
1970s Jeantet paneled pipe.
2017 Turkish Meerschaum.

They all look great, Jim. I love a good pot, too. I have an EXEL pot, and a Dr. Max panel that looks very similar to your JeanTet. That meerschaum looks like a good smoker as well. Enjoy them all! :)

Fine pipes, good examples of past glories in pipe making.
Enjoy them all.

Thanks, fellas. Yeah, the birdseye on the new/old stock Jeantet is lovely, and the grain is very good on the other side as well. I have a fondness for panel pipes. I needed to add a couple pots to my collection, and was happy to come home with three good ones. The Big Ben smokes so great, much better than expected, and it, too, has very nice grain. The friend who gifted it to me sure did me one big favor. It, too, was new/old stock as was the Charatan for that matter.
